MEAL PLAN #5

Noodle Salad

Gosh Wednesday rolls around fast, especially after a long weekend! Here is meal plan #5.

We start the week with a classic bolognese, and then globe trot through Thailand, China and India for the rest of the week! The fiery Fireman's Larb was a new one for us this week, as was the Tandoori Chicken with Almond Pilaf. Both were extremely delicious and will be featuring again soon!

OUR KITCHEN

There are lots of great recipes over on Fisher & Paykel's blog, Our Kitchen. I've bookmarked the pulled pork, date & almond slice and chocolate crunch recipes to try sometime soon... I'm always excited to try new recipes and discover new family favs.

MEAL PLAN #4

Growing up, we ate a traditional dutch dish called stamppot, made with either carrots or kale and a gravy volcano. This was back when kale wasn't in vogue and it was rarely seen in shops. This week I am sharing my mums recipe with you. I hope you enjoy it. Miss M scoffed hers down and asked for more, so I would rate this as a pretty successful dinner!

There is also a quick and easy smoked fish salad, and some delicious spiced truffles as a wee treat for the week.

SUNDAY BAKING

Miss M helped with Sunday baking today. As I scooped the muffin batter into the tin, she proceeded to scope it out and eat it! #bakingwithatoddler

MEAL PLAN #3

Meal plan #3 is ready to download here.

There is a little more prep work to do this week, which will make cooking some of the meals so much faster after a busy day at work.

My good friend Suzy's pancake recipe also makes an appearance for Pancake Sunday. These get a big thumbs up in our household as they were the first pancakes that Miss M devoured. See more of Suzy's delicious recipes here.

MY FAMILY TABLE

I was excited about the arrival of this new cookbook in my letterbox last week. I am a huge Petite Kitchen fan, and have a few of her recipes (from her first book) in my rotation of family favourites. I have already included a few in meal plans #1 and #2, but with a few tweaks here and there to suit what I had in the pantry.

What are your favourite cookbooks?

MEAL PLAN #2

For week two, you'll find an easy recipe for fried rice, humble potato top pie, sunday baking (hands up if you love ginger slice!), and a slightly different take on a pancake.

Enjoy!

P.S: How did you find meal plan #1?

HAPPY HOUR

It's hard to say no to a jug of Sangria, and with summer just around the corner, this Peach & Basil Sangria is looking rather tempting.
